Reforestation in the forest fire area: Alberta, Canada
In Alberta, Canada, Shakti Reforestation Ltd., in collaboration with Alberta-Pacific Forest Industries Inc., is replanting a forest area burned by the 2019 McMillan Complex wildfire. This project is an important step toward restoring forests while complying with environmental regulations. Planting 500 trees of two different species will not only restore biodiversity but also strengthen the ecosystem and make the region more resilient to future wildfires.

Restoring livelihoods for Indigenous communities and animals: Cariboo, Canada
The province of British Columbia, Canada, has been hit by devastating wildfires in recent years, destroying not only the natural environment but also the livelihoods of local communities. In collaboration with the Zanzibar organization, we are now reforesting 5 hectares of land in the Cariboo region. This project is crucial to restoring the destroyed habitats for animals and giving Indigenous communities a sustainable and self-determined future.

Reforestation of mangrove forests on the coast of Kenya: Kwale, Kenya
On the Kenyan coast, mangrove forests are vital to the local population, providing jobs and acting as protective barriers against tropical storms. Recently, the region has experienced rapid urbanization, leading to deforestation and severely impacting the ecosystem. In Kwale, Kenya, we are now working with the local population to restore the mangrove forests and thus create more jobs in forestry. The project therefore brings both ecological and socioeconomic benefits to the coastal region of Kenya.
