Tarefas Coloridas produces TreeHoodies, TreeSweaters, TreeChino Shorts, TreeJamas, TreeSweatPants, TreeShorts Women, TreePolos, TreeBoxer Shorts, and TreeShirts for NIKIN. This family-run business has been in existence for 10 years. The married couple Aldina and Avelino Pinto, along with their daughter Daniela and son-in-law Pedro, run the company. 16 employees work either 40 (full-time) or 20 (half-time) hours per week for Tarefas Coloridas. The company creates its own patterns and cuts, sews, and dyes its own raw materials. The packaging and shipping of the finished products is also handled in-house. The raw materials for NIKIN products are GOTS-certified or part of the GOTS project. Electricity from conventional sources is used to manufacture the clothing, but solar panels are planned for the factory roof. Waste such as plastic and cardboard is separated. An ETAR filter system cleans the water used for dyeing.
