Once upon a time, there were two friends and this one idea. The NIKIN story began on October 22, 2016, over a beer at McArthurs Pub in Lenzburg, where Nicholas and Robin formulated the vision of founding a brand that would plant a tree for every product sold. The first major milestone was the small warehouse in Seengen, and by 2018, NIKIN had become a limited liability company. Shortly thereafter, the new logo, the first full-time employees, and a visit to Canada, to visit the tree-planting partner, followed. One Tree Planted . A special moment was the first time Nicholas and Robin met someone unknown on the street wearing "their" clothes. To this day, the two say: "We never could have dreamed we would achieve so much in just a few years."
Trees in the heart and on the chest
As an environmentally conscious clothing brand, we want to make the world greener step by step and demonstrate that sustainability can be practiced by all of us in our everyday lives. We've already achieved a lot on this path, but we still have at least as much to do. Admittedly, a lot has changed in six years. "The quicker the better" is the motto, and unfortunately, this also applies to the fashion industry.
Step by step, tree by tree
But that's exactly what made NIKIN even more important. In a time when a sweater is only worn three times and everyone has an opinion but rarely knows the facts, it's all the more important that someone puts their foot on the brakes and shows how things can be done differently. So, we're entering our sixth year of trying to make life a little more sustainable. We absolutely want to plant even more trees (Robin, as we all know, would love to go to the field himself for every seedling) and grow as a consistently sustainable company.

This is how we celebrate
Product Development has rolled up its sleeves, Marketing is popping the corks, and the Events team can barely keep its feet under the table until the festivities. Sleepless weekends are a challenge for management , and our Customer Support team is on hand, as always, for anything. Sales is keeping the ups and downs under control, and HR is handing out high fives (or, in the spirit of the birthday, sixes) to the team. We're in the celebratory mood!
