Wieso Wasser PET-Flaschen kaufen ein unsinniger Trend in der Schweiz ist - NIKIN CH

"It takes three or four liters of tap water to fill one liter of water." With this statement, Peter Gleick, water expert at the Pacific Institute in San Francisco, emphasizes the immense consumption of tap water for non-ecological purposes. The importance of water is demonstrated by the fact that all forms of life depend on it. But now this necessary and therefore valuable resource is filled into countless plastic bottles every day and sold around the globe. It has long been known that plastic is not a friend of sustainability. The production of a PET bottle requires petroleum, a raw material whose reserves will eventually be depleted. Nevertheless, we continue to produce plastic every day. This often ends up in the oceans, thus putting an end to the lives of countless seabirds and fish.

TreeBottle NIKIN

Why do we use plastic bottles?

In Switzerland, we enjoy a privilege that many other countries can only dream of: turning on the tap and drinking tap water straight from the tap! But that doesn't stop us from lugging liters of bottled water home or buying a bottle of water from the kiosk on the way to work. So why do we risk a sore back every time we do this, or are we simply too lazy and skillfully ignore the fact that plastic is anything but sustainable? The thought of being more environmentally friendly usually only occurs to us when we see a beach littered with plastic on our summer vacation - and with it the guilty conscience, which then quickly disappears as soon as we get back to everyday life and, out of habit, naturally reach for the plastic bottle the next time we go shopping.

With the new NIKIN TreeBottle , any excuse for preferring bottled water to tap water is superfluous. On the one hand, the reusable vacuum-insulated bottle allows you to save money by consciously avoiding bottled water when shopping. On the other hand, with little effort and great benefit, everyone can do something for the environment and combat the growing mountains of plastic.

The drinking bottle for every season

The NIKIN TreeBottle thanks you for your contribution to the environment by ensuring that hot drinks actually stay hot for 12 hours, while cold drinks retain their temperature for a full 24 hours. This makes it a faithful companion in the hot summer months and sub-zero temperatures in the winter. And last but not least: your back will thank you sooner or later, too.

So, next time, just leave the PET bottle on the shelf and opt for the stainless steel bottle from NIKIN instead. It looks incredibly good, too!
